The actuator is the most common reason for failure of the 6.4L Turbochargers. This has led to the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Borg Warner, releasing a new water-less version to resolve many of the issues that cause the original actuators to fail including eliminating the stock cooling manifold that is prone to deteriorating internally over time.
