Accumulators and receiver driers play an important part in the automotive air conditioning system. They are designed to hold a little extra refrigerant for hot days as well as having desiccant inside. This desiccant is designed to remove the small amounts of moisture that enter the system over time. Whenever you work on the system and you open it to the outside air you will need to replace the accumulator or receiver drier. Accumulators and receiver driers are designed to meet or exceed the OE design for your vehicle. They are capped with plastic fittings to help ensure that the product arrives free of contaminates. All accumulators and receiver driers are leak tested and use quality desiccant.
